This month I am recommending one of Gordon MacDonald’s books – The Life God Blesses.

MacDonald was the pastor of one the most influential churches in New England and he writes from the experiences of one who is both significantly gifted for ministry and has also known personal disappointment, as he has followed Christ and ministered in Christ’s church.

This book will take you on a journey that will encourage you to examine your life “below the waterline”.  One of the key characteristics of the life God blesses is to understand your personal mission – and on p.115 he states;  “…a mission, as we are using the word, is a foundational intention that provides meaning and direction to al of life.  A mission well-defined will provide the grounds for guidance, choice making and values throughout one’s life.”

MacDonald’s writing is personal, invigorating, challenging and direct.  He uses many illustrations and quotes that will keep you interested and intrigued.  This is a book that will “bless” you!  I hope you will read it.
