We believe that "hiding God's word in our hearts" is a signficant spiritual discipline. Therefore, every week we work on a new verse of scripture to memorize.
Here are all of the verses:
A = “All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever.” - 1 Peter 1:24-25
B = “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” - Ephesians 4:32
C = “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.” - Proverbs 16:3
D = “Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says.” - James 1:22
E = “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leas to life, and only a few find it.” - Matthew 7:13-14
F = “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” - Isaiah 9:6
G = “Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise. His greatness no on can fathom.” - Psalm 145:3
H = “How…can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent?” - Romans 10:14-15
